OUR TAEKWONDO PROGRAM

Our 3-5 year old class is fun and exciting!  Each 30 minute session includes exercises to develop balance, coordination, and gross motor skills.  Your child will run, jump, kick, and have a great time while improving their athleticism.

 

It’s a perfect way to develop healthy habits and a positive attitude towards physical activity.  And for children who are constantly in motion,  Taekwondo is a great outlet to burn off excess energy!  

 

Treating others with respect is one of the core principles of the martial arts. During training students learn to be courteous and kind to others. They also learn the importance of taking turns,  cooperating with a partner, and following instructions. This will prepare them for greater success at school and other team sports.

Meeting new classmates and teachers is highly beneficial. We coach kids to introduce themselves to others and to be comfortable around new people.

Our philosophy is to help students to develop their self confidence through encouragement, praise, and motivating them to attempt new activities.

 

Our program puts all of this together as our kids first learn then earn skill stripes in:

The children have fun learning taekwondo as they work through our curriculum and to earn the next stripe.

3 - 5 YEAR OLD CLASS

STRANGER DANGER

6 - 8 YEAR OLD CLASS

We understand this age, and know how to cater to their needs.  This is a high-energy class using higher repetitions to build stamina and focus on building their core strength.  We continue to work on focus, concentration, and listening skills as we introduce things such as break falls, tumbling, and combinations!

Our 6-8 year old class starts to build their foundation that they need throughout their martial arts journey.  This class not only teaches the kids martial arts in a disciplined environment but also allows the kids to be kids and have fun while learning.  The lesson plans are thoughtfully planned out and are age appropriate.  We focus on the technical aspect of Taekwondo and teach the proper technique with individualized focus on each student. 

 

We believe that it is important to have "mat chats" with the children and discuss issues such as bullying and any other issues that the students may want to talk about in an open forum.

We offer more than a class or an activity --- it's a program. One that has solid steps to build your child a foundation to use throughout their life.

 

9 - 12 YEAR OLD CLASS

As the students get older they will learn to demonstrate concentration, even when challenged by their environment.  They will learn to show intensity in their efforts and understand that this level is expected at all times.  They'll learn how to be a part of a team as well as celebrating successes as an individual.

 

As your child starts learning martial arts, something amazing happens. As their skills improve, they realize that they were capable of more than they thought, and this boosts both their self image and self esteem. Taekwondo students take great pride in their accomplishments, and become confident about their ability to face any challenge. 

Parents and teachers notice the positive effect learning Taekwondo has on a students success in school.  As they gain self discipline, your child will become more efficient at homework. Taekwondo students learn to block out distractions and stay on task. They also gain a longer attention span that will help them to learn any topic.

 

Taekwondo is taught and learned in an atmosphere of respect and courtesy. And, while learning Taekwondo is fun, exciting, and rewarding, it isn’t always easy. Your child will learn to gradually increase their effort and determination in order to master more advanced techniques and earn higher belt ranks. This is an invaluable life lesson that will teach your child the perseverance it takes to achieve their goals in every area of life. 

13 YEAR OLD - ADULT CLASS

Our adult classes are taught by high energy instructors who will inspire you to give 110%!  No two classes are alike, and in each class you will be learn new techniques and refine your skills. It’s a process of constant learning that will motivate you to train consistently.
